USPS will deliver on Cyber Monday purchases
Black Friday might have come and gone, but that was just one-half of the biggest retail event in American culture. Now, eyes - and clicking fingers - will turn toward Cyber Monday, expected to generate more than a billion dollars in holiday purchases, which the U.S. Postal Service stands ready to deliver with help from postal mailing software to ensure gifts reach their intended recipients.
According to a recent press release, the USPS is expected to deliver a record amount of purchases that some 130 million U.S. consumers are expected to make on the biggest online spending day in the books.
"The holiday season is our Super Bowl, with 365 million packages expected to be delivered by the Postal Service this year," said Gary Reblin, vice president of domestic products for the USPS. "Whether it's Cyber Monday or any day, USPS will continue to take a leadership role as a catalyst of ecommerce trade between consumers and online merchants."
The USPS also reminded customers of its other holiday shipping promotions, including free Priority Mail boxes and its Click-N-Ship offering.
“USPS is committed to providing customers with timely, reliable and accurate delivery service at reasonable prices so they can enjoy this special time of the year,” Reblin said.
