USPS appoints new vice president of secure digital solutions
Direct marketers that use address verification and go to great lengths to create deeper relationship with their client base will be interested to know that the U.S. Postal Service is taking measures to improve digital security. USPS Postmaster General and CEO Patrick Donahoe announced that Randy Miskanic will be taking over as vice president of secure digital solutions and has the experience and expertise to vastly improve the current system.
"Randy will build upon the strong momentum of the Digital Solutions group, which has been led by Paul Vogel over the past seven months, and more closely align our innovation strategy with customer demand for secure digital communications and experiences," Donahoe said. He also went on to say this will heavily influence future USPS success and help the organization provide more innovative services.
The appointment of Miskanic and additional efforts to protect against cyber attacks will save money, time and effort on the USPS' end. The new vice president specializes in digital security and he will be a key influence over the growth of the USPS online services. Decreasing the risk and number of cyber attacks will also help marketers develop a more secure mailing campaign.
