In a recent press release, the USPS announced another round of seasonal promotions by saying all Priority Mail flat rate boxes will be free of charge in the buildup to the holidays. The special offer will apply to all classes of flat rate boxes. The deadline for holiday Priority Mail shipping will be December 21.
"The U.S. Postal Service is making it easier to ship packages to family and friends for the holidays," said Gary Reblin, USPS vice president for domestic products. "With our free Priority Mail boxes and discounted online pricing available on usps.com, the Postal Service is the perfect choice for customers seeking value and convenience this holiday season."
The USPS has also developed an innovative gift from one of its latest stamp collection just in time for the holidays. The Earthscapes Forever stamps were launched October 1 to celebrate National Stamp Collecting Month, and the USPS has turned the stamps into a jigsaw puzzle. The gift will feature a puzzle made up of all 15 stamps depicting American landscape photos taken from high altitude angles, including two shot from space.
Businesses that will send holiday direct mail through the USPS can use address verification software to ensure safe delivery through the sleet and snow.
