Report: Web-to-print solutions to hit all time highs in upcoming years
According to a recent report by Global Industry Analysts, the global market for web-to-print software is expected to reach nearly $900 million by 2017, due to a number of factors, including customers becoming more knowledgeable about the internet and innovations in digital printing.
Some of the industries that already use web-to-print are expected to use it more in the upcoming years. These include the manufacturing, healthcare, educational and financial sectors, which are all adopting web-to-print because of its ability to decrease production costs and improve productivity in the workplace.
The demand for web-to-print services has increased dramatically throughout the economic downturn, the report showed, due to the ease and cost efficiencies its brings to ordering, designing, and paying, as well as tracking jobs.
A few of the other benefits of web-to-print solutions are enhanced document management and more control over branding and marketing, according to the report.
With a number of web-to-print solutions on the market, an article from a printing company recently listed some thinking points for businesses selecting a solution, which included how customizable it is, what training is needed for staff to use the solution and whether or not the solution interface is user-friendly.
