Publishing company using new and traditional technology
John Pritchard, owner of publishing company Eternal Ways, is embracing new technology and adding it to its business infrastructure, but also refuses to part with traditional promotional material such as print marketing, reported the Berkshire Eagle, a newspaper covering Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
Pritchard told the source he has not only embraced multimedia publishing, but uses the web to market his titles. However, he noted, print remains an irreplaceable medium.
"Print will never die," Pritchard told the newspaper. "There is nothing that will replace the feeling of print in your hands. There's a myth that the e-book is going to replace the printed word. That's like saying YouTube is going to replace commercial television."
Many businesses across the United States are reacting to innovations in technology in a way similar to Pritchard. It is a smart practice for these businesses to realize the benefits of printed content, but also to explore ways to combine cutting-edge technology with printed materials. Web-to-print software is one way to leverage internet-based technology to improve the quality of printed materials and the efficiency of print campaigns.
