Print industry trends revealed in new report
The recently released "Who Buys Wide Format? - Understanding End Use Markets & Demand Drivers of Wide Format Graphics Printing" report from Infotrends looked at ways that those in the printing industry could be more successful.
The report found that while many business executives tend to focus on short-term objectives, they should be looking further into the future and anticipating the best ways to move forward. Entrepreneurs should make time, the experts state, to think about how to best to engage with customers.
"In today’s wide format print market, print service providers face many challenges when it comes to developing an effective sales strategy and generating new business," the study found. "Many small businesses are so focused on day-to-day operations that they have little time to dedicate to developing a sophisticated marketing approach."
The print field, which relies on direct mail outreach, recently made other headlines after a conference was held in Moscow. The PolygraphInter trade show allowed those in the industry to get exposed to new products, meet potential business partners and discuss issues such as web-to-print.
