Experts discuss web-to-print during webinar
According to many experts, the way to run a successful web-to-print effort is by making distribution centers modify operations to meet the needs of an individual business.
Digital Nirvana reports that a recent webinar, featuring Sprint and Weber Associates, sought to give businesses better insight into what needed to be done to streamline efforts and get better results. The online platform, moderated by Barb Pellow, looked at how Sprint was able to handle its 7,000 business to business representatives and approximately 1,000 assets in a number of different verticals.
Sprint's director of retail communications and marketing services, Mark Rexroat, said that making sure all data was organized was key to improving the printing business.
"We used the carrot and the stick approach," he said, according to the news source. "We made the tools as friendly as possible, but we also cut off the asset distribution through other channels because, at some points in time, we had upwards of five to eight different libraries of sales and marketing information."
Firms in the printing sector need to know how to implement technology such as web-to-print or address validation software to better engage with clients and increase profit margins.
