Event will discuss publishing industry's future
The head of a printing industry event recently announced the keynote speaker for this year's gathering in Florida.
Christopher Smith will be delivering a speech entitled "Publishing 2012: What it means to be a modern publisher," according to a release from George Ryan, president of The Printing Associations of Florida's Graphics of the Americas Expo and Conference. The three-day event will begin on March 1 and be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Organizers are hoping those who choose to attend will learn new information about their industry.
"In Publishing 2012, publishing technology expert Christopher Smith helps attendees gain an understanding of new and emerging devices, tools and applications that are changing the way content is consumed and delivered," the organization stated in its release. "Putting ink on paper is no longer enough, as customers expect to find their favorite content on electronic devices."
Printers can get an advantage over competition by keeping up to date on everything from web-to-print to mobile apps. There's no telling what can be achieved when the right knowledge is gained.
