Entrepreneur uses direct mail to benefit her family and local small businesses
Throughout the United States, the entrepreneurial spirit runs rampant, with many opting to quit their jobs and start their own business. This is exactly what Peggy Groves Knaack, a 46-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, did when she decided to start her direct mail and coupon publication. In a recent interview with The Charlotte Observer, Knaack talked about how her direct mail startup has helped her achieve success.
Knaack told the paper she started Live. Save. Share. when her husband was seeking a sales job, and they decided to collaborate to build a magazine that could help local small businesses. The publication takes advantage of the power of direct mail and gives small businesses in the area an opportunity to send promotional material to potential customers.
According to Knaack, she runs the magazine by meeting with customers, helping businesses with coupon ideas, preparing mailing routes, proofing layouts, and much more. The publication is distributed five times per year to 30,000 local households.
Ventures like Knaack's can benefit from web-to-print software, which makes it easy to incorporate strong graphic design elements into direct mail campaigns.
