DMA opens Silicon Valley office
One of the leading trade organizations in the direct mail industry recently made headlines after it announced that it would be setting up shop in the unofficial high-tech capital of the United States.
The Direct Marketing Association said it would be opening up a new office in Silicon Valley, California, on September 12 to better engage with members on the West Coast. Leading the team will be Alexandra Morehouse, who will run the Center for Accountable Marketing and report to DMA CEO Lawrence Kimmel.
Kimmel said that the new office will hopefully expand the group's presence and give added resources to companies looking for help implementing tools such as address validation software.
“We want to bring together the innovative and the established companies out there,” he said. “If we can be a catalyst to bring together ingenuity with opportunity, we will serve the community well.”
The DMA made headlines earlier this year when it named Cindy Humphrey, VP of telecommunications firm CenturyLink, as its b2b marketer of the year. She was praised for her strategic approach toward marketing the company's products.
