This update corrects the following:

1. Intelligent Mail Barcode font now prints regular instead of Bold
2. Intelligent Mail Barcode now supports “User Defined” Serial Numbers which allow the customer to use a Field in their database to control the Unique Serial Number in the Intelligent Mail Barcode
3. For Standard Mail Auto Letters sorts – SmartAddresser 5 now checks to see if there are 150-pieces or more for a 5-Digit Scheme before qualifying pieces for the CRRT rate to give an even lower rate when presorting Automation Letters with Print Barcode and Include Carrier Route checked
4. Fixed $0 postage for 100% non-presort First Class Mail Manifest Letters/Flats
5. Added verbiage “non-identical” as Single Piece Weight on First Class Mailing Statement.
6. Added Section identifiers, e.g., B4 for Single Piece
7. Added “Single Piece” to proceed all “SP” Rate Codes
8. Added automatic detection for Flat Size pieces in Letter Size Manifest Presort so the appropriate postage amount is applied.  Pieces that are deemed to be Non-letter size when presorting for First Class or Standard Mail Manifest Letters will be charged Single Piece Flat Size rates at the appropriate ounce cost.
9. Fixed NCOALink Processing Summary report from sometimes printing blank
10. Added a drop-down box on the Mailing Statement Setup window to select the change of address service used.
11. Added a check box to the NCOALink Monitor window to select to create reports.

Directions:
Click on the update link to the left and choose to save the download file to your computer. Once downloaded, open it and select to extract the contents to a temporary folder. Next, run the file named Update_50372.exe from that location.

Prepare For Walk Sequence Program
This program is provided for the use of customers who recieve or have thier mailing lists processed by a Delivery Sequence Vendor for Walk Sequence Saturation and High Denisty rates. This program should be used to prepare the list for sortation in SmartAddresser 2020. It adds the proper fields and data that SmartAddresser 2020 needs in order to properly prepare your Walk Sequence mailing.

To Run:

1. Open or import the list that you have had processed by your Delivery Sequence Vendor.
   
   
2. Look at your list and remember what fields are used for the following data: 5 digit Zip Code, WalkSequence, Delivery Point, Carrier Route, Plus 4 of the Zip Code, Check Digit(If not included in Delivery Point)
   
   
3. Go to EDIT | COMMAND
   
   
4. Type the following in the command window:
   
   
   Do prep4wss with
   , , , ,,
   
   
   Where the fields denoted in < ... > represent your field names. For example, if you had a list where the Zip field name was zip5, the WalkSeq field was seq, the delivery point field was dp, the carrer route field name was crrt, the plus4 field namt was zip4 and the checkdg was in a seperate field called chkdg, the following command would look like this:
   
   
   Do prep4wss with "zip5", "seq", "dp","crrt", "zip4","chkdg"
   
   
5. Click 'Run'. **Note that if you have not already created a walkseq_ field (required by the SmartAddresser 2020 sort engine), you will be prompted to do so now. Follow the on screen directions to do so.
   
   
6. After the command has finished, your list will be ready for presorting.
   
   

**Special Note: It is very important that you do not 'Validate' your Delivery Sequence File mailing list through SmartAddresser 2020 after you have already had it processed by your Delivery Sequence vendor. This is due to a possible conflict in USPS data. Validating your list through SmartAddresser 2020 could cause your walk sequence numbers to be invalid due to changes in Carrier Route data.

Format Lines Program
The purpose of the Format Lines program is to allow users a method for standardizing their Address Lines. This program will take a file that has up to 10 address fields, and shift the address lines over to get rid of blank address lines between lines. For Example:

Will get formatted to:

Add Mark Program
This program allows you to place the Package/Try marker on the First piece / Last piece or at an offset location.

Add Mark Program
This program places the zone that a piece will fall into for Periodicals mail into a specified field in your database. This can be helpful when trying to figure out how many pieces are going to go into particular zones for your mailing.

Special Barcode Program
The Special Barcode program uses logic aas provided by bizfonts to create the barcode strings required for printing variouis special barcodes. Please note that the fonts for printing these barcodes is not included with SmartAddresser 2020. These must be obtained by contacting www.bizfonts.com.
