Expert: Direct mail is evolving
The future of direct mail and marketing is constantly shifting, with new technology and strategies being implemented on a regular basis.
In a recent article for What They Think, industry executive Dave Erlandson, writes that one of the biggest changes for the sector would be the use of color printers and a more customized approach to sending out printed materials.
"For direct mail the large mailers will continue to focus on more targeted personalized direct mail and postal savings," he writes. "The new wide web color inkjet presses will enable companies to comingle mailings on the press and gain even more mailing efficiencies."
He also went on to predict that more firms would be focusing on cross media marketing, using landing pages and social media in conjunction with web-to-print and other tools.
When a company devises an effective marketing strategy, it can have a major impact on overall profitability. By figuring out what types of strategies are most effective, firms will be able to increase their number of clients.
